LIBE - Priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency
On January 11, Valentin Radev, Bulgarian Minister of Interior, and Tsetska Tsacheva, Bulgarian Minister for Justice, presented the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, which will last from January 1 until June 30 2018. The Ministers spoke about enhancing security, managing migration, bringing forward the Asylum Package, strengthening interoperability and operationalising the EPPO. MEPs urged the Council to find common ground on the Dublin Regulation and wanted to know the Presidency’s stance on the rule of law situation in Poland, to which the Ministers did not respond other than in general terms.
