Scottish National Party Manifesto – Policy Summary
The Scottish National Party have today published their General Election 2017 manifesto. The document does not contain an explicit guarantee of a second independence referendum, but Nicola Sturgeon does stress that if her party wins a majority of Scottish seats, the case for another referendum would be hugely strengthened. The manifesto includes support for removing the public sector pay cap, protecting the triple lock on pensions and increasing the Minimum Wage to the level of the real Living Wage, alongside a commitment to repeal the Trade Union Act 2016 and banning zero-hours contracts. Dods has collated all the pledges and commitments made in the full manifesto document into one useful summary, divided by policy themes.
